Not surprisingly, the record books are going to start becoming a very relevant discussion topic in the coming weeks for Mr. Smith.  Next season, good lord willing, will be his chance to become #1 in all the receiving categories and finalize his stamp as definitively the best receiver ever to play at Ohio State.

As things stand today, he is climbing the lists rapidly. 

He is 1st in receiving yards per game at 87.1 yards per game.  Boston is 2nd at 79.1

He is 12th in career receiving yards with 2,177 yards, and will easily be in the top 10 by the end of this season. Egbuka is 1st with 2,868.  Smith has played 25 games, Egbuka played 49.

He is 11th in career receptions at 141, and will be in the top 10 after Saturday most likely.  G. Wilson is 10th with 143.  Egbuka is 1st with 205 catches.

He is 7th in career receiving TD's with 25 and has played 25 games.  Good pace for some easy math.  Olave is 1st with 36, in 41 games played.
