After watching Indiana play poorly and suck out a win at the end against Penn State the only thought in my mind is: was this Indiana's "oh shit" moment that wakes them up to the fact they have vulnerabilities that they need to fix? Will they treat this as a stepping stone to becoming even more motivated and, perhaps, more grounded and focused?

Which leads me to us: do we need that moment for this team to elevate and focus even further? We know we have weaknesses along the O-line that haven't met a defense that can fully exploit them. We also know that we haven't been forced to call a game under real pressure yet.

We know we have another gear; Day alluded to it just days ago. But is this team one that is intrinsically motivated enough to go the distance without needed a gut-check, or is it something that could make us feel invincible until we're not (a la 2002 Miami)?

It's something I'm thinking about. I'm not worried about our defense for the most part in this regard. But we have issues on offense that a D-line like Texas Tech's could potentially exploit with success.

This will likely get grayed out but I voiced it as a discussion, not a negative outlook.
