If my memory is right, Sayin was 3-for-3 on balls down the field Saturday. If so, through 3 games, that would make him 7-for-7 for 352 yards and 5 TDs on balls thrown 20 yards or more in the air. It worked on the fourth play of the game (42 yards to Jeremiah), then we didn't do it again until we were in a one-score game past the midpoint of the third quarter (47-yard TD to Jeremiah) and early fourth quarter (49-yard TD to Jeremiah).
I get that over four quarters, you're going to use lots of different formations and lots of different plays. I get that bubble screens and other stuff can turn into TDs too. But if we're going to recruit the best WRs and QBs in the nation, and if we're going to talk about an "Evil Ryan Day" who wants to crush his opponents, I'd love to see the ball go deep more often.
