All,
Just like last year, I'm doing the 'Tickets as Low As' week by week for the Big Ten.
I already posted for the B1G on week 1: Tickets As Low As Opening Week
This offers an indication on where the excitement may lie in the upcoming week. As always I checked ESPN's scoreboard and noted the 'Tickets as low as' value. And, this doesn't take into account fees and other expenses ticket sites tack on.
Anyway, just 5 games. 4 in the new world, 1 in the British Ilses (Ireland). It's the first college football played since Jan 20th, 2025. (hmm, what happened then?)
| Home | Away | As Low As | notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kansas St. | Iowa St. | $2004* | It's in Ireland *round trip ticket price from O'Hare to Dublin also, noon kickoff eastern (we hate those) 5 PM kickoff in Dublin, good for them |
| UNLV | Idaho St. | $22 | 4 PM |
| Kansas | Fresno St. | $40 | 6:30 PM |
| Western Kentucky | Sam Houston | $13 | 7 PM - wait, they still play regular season games at night? since when? |
| Hawai'i | Stanford | $50 | why is Hawai'i favored? |
That's it... It's Football, but nothing to impact the playoffs. Zero B1G teams. Only one power4 v power4, and that's in Ireland.
*I didn't see the ticket price, but $2,004 is the round trip cost to fly non-stop O'Hare to Dublin on Aer Lingus (Friday/Sunday). So, if you're so desperate to see some live power4 football, it ain't gonna be cheap.
