With the shift to allow direct payment to players and them being considered employees, will they even be required to go to classes anymore and will the scholarship matter? I can see bench and role players still waiting to leverage the free education, but not sure about the stars. No other employees are required to attend classes, so why should they be?
Also, hoping this leads to multi-year contracts that reduce transfers, but who knows.
