Can the presidents look at what the other schools are doing?  SEC/B1G/Big12 and ACC all have the money for the tests.  We can safely play.

The Alabama football team had a one percent positivity rate from July 4 through the beginning of classes.

“That number probably went up a little bit when school started,” Saban said Tuesday, “but not really significantly.”

Context, here, is important. Players are tested three times a week and that will continue throughout the season.

“We haven’t had any players that are really bad sick from this,” Saban said. “A lot of guys that test positive are even asymptomatic. I actually think that, even though we’ve focused on the number of students that have tested positive, the hospitalizations have gone down in Tuscaloosa since school started. And I think that’s the thing that we need to be most concerned about.”

DCH hospital in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday announced its COVID-related in-patient numbers are at its lowest point since late June. A total of 44 are being treated for the virus with 15 currently in ICU and seven on ventilators.
