Just wanted to throw this out there and didn't want it to be totally lost in the shuffle of a thread about players leaving/staying/etc.
JK IMO is ready for the NFL. A final year in college is incredibly unlikely to net him much more money than he'll get this year, and will take a year off his career. BUT what if we're thinking about this the wrong way...
JK is probably going to have a solid career in the league, maybe even a great one. But what are we talking, 5-7 years if he's lucky? I'm sure he'll get paid, but if you want to live a luxurious lifestyle is 5-7 years of good money enough to carry you through the rest of your life? So he probably takes the route that many popular OSU players do and capitalizes on being a famous Buckeye after he's done.
Would it impact his post-league earnings enough if he stays and knocks Archie off his top spot, to make it a BETTER financial move to come back? How much money do you think Archie has made off of being the best back in Ohio State history? Obviously the 2x Heisman's plays into it, but if JK set that yards record next year... forget it that's basically permanent at this point.
For the record I think he's going; but just a thought that occurred to me.
