I guess it took a little longer than the music industry but the corporate world has hijacked and bastardized sports now as well. ESPN is the number 1 culprit. I do not enjoy sports as much as I used to when the media did not own an interest in them. In fact, if I was just growing up now I don’t think I would be as interested in sports. It’s not presented at all in the same fashion as it was years ago. Essentially they are turning the entire spirts world into an orchestrated Vince McMahon show. The impartiality of the coverage and the unpredictability of the outcome have left the building. I’m losing interest entirely.
