This will be the 84th time Ohio State and Wisconsin (10–2) have faced each other in football. The Buckeyes hold a 60–18–5 advantage in the all-time series and are 2 when playing the Badgers in the Big Ten Championship Game.

Day's hometown is Manchester, NH. He attended Manchester High School and attended college at New Hampshire. Day has been in coaching for 18 years and is Ohio State's 25th head coach. 

After this season's first 12 games, Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are outscoring their opponents 599-142. That is an average victory of 50-12. The numbers stay fairly steady when you add in the three games Day coached last season.

After 15 games with Day as head coach, Ohio State is beating teams by an average score of 51-14. He has the program record for points scored after his first 15 games with 768.

Urban Meyer is the only other coach in program history to start his career with 15 straight victories.

Paul Chryst was born in Madison, Wisconsin and played quarterback and tight end for the Badgers from 1986-88. After being an assistant coach for various collegiate and professional teams over 23 seasons, Pittsburgh gave Chryst his first head coaching job in 2012. After going 19–19 with the Panthers, Chryst received the call from Wisconsin and headed back home.

Chryst has been the Badgers head coach since 2015. In time the program has a 67– 31 overall record and is 30– 8 in Big Ten play. Wisconsin has played in four consecutive bowl games and won them all. Last year was the first time the Badgers did not finish a season ranked in the top 25 under Chryst's regime.

Answer: Two. Of the home state's listed on Ohio State's rosters, only two players had Wisconsin. George Zavistoske (1939-41) and Jimmie Meckstroth (1971-72). Note, there are several years where home state is not listed, so this number could be higher.

What year was it when the Badgers last defeated the Buckeyes?

Answer: 2010. Wisconsin won 31-18 in Camp Randall Stadium. Ohio State has won seven straight in the series since that loss.
