Elijaah Goins' time as a member of the Tennessee Titans was short-lived.
The former Ohio State walk-on, who signed with the Titans as a free agent after last month's NFL draft, was one of four players released by the team on Monday, one day after the conclusion of their rookie minicamp.
Goins, who played almost exclusively on special teams for the Buckeyes, was attempting to make the switch from wide receiver to cornerback to play in the NFL. But despite showing impressive athleticism at Ohio State's pro day and his connection with Tennessee Titans secondary coach/former Ohio State cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs, Goins was among those who lost their spots on the Titans' 90-man roster as the team signed five other players who participated in the team's rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
