So I've seen some players getting the dreaded #46 if they are essentially in Meyer's dog house. Last season we saw Erick Smith get the dreaded number change. This spring we see Damon Arnette donning the fateful jersey.
I have wondered why Coach Meyer chose those number. I have a guess, but maybe someone has hard facts. UFM preaches 4-6 seconds going from A-B on a play as hard as you can. My guess is that he is telling the player they need to be consistent and give full effort on every play when he assigns that number.
Any other thoughts or known facts from an insider?
