I recently had a conversation with my Dad, who I would argue is as knowledgeable of Buckeye football history as anyone not named Jack Park, about all of the greatest players in tOSU history. He mentioned every Heisman Trophy winner that had been given the honor of having thier jersey retired as well as many of my personal favorites, such as Orlando Pace, Chris Speilman, Macus Marek, and Randy Gradishar.
As our conversation gradually became more intense and passionate over the subject we seemingly came to the agreement that since Bill Willis's number is currently retired and Troy Smith's is not (the university has since ceased the tradition), that we couldn't limit our selections to Heisman Trophy winners. Obviously Troy's name was near the top of our list.. However, I believe J.T and his numerous school and conference records to be more deserving of this honor.
So my question is, If the Ohio State University were to rekindle this practice, would J.T. be given the honor of having his jersey placed in the rafters?
