The first CFP rankings came out and they could not have been any worse for OSU. Given remaining schedules, most likely we won’t move ahead of anyone in front of us unless they lose and Miami would leap from us in the unlikely event they win out. Plus, there are two teams that could potentially lose a game and remain ahead of us. Nonetheless we only need a few games to go our way and we are in if we win out. Bold = team OSU is rooting for.
Huge Games involving CFP competition:
4pm Oklahoma at Oklahoma State -1.5 Biggest game of the week. Ok St win and we stay ahead of B12 #1. Given the head to head and remaining schedule I think there is very little chance we move ahead of OU unless they lose.
3:30 Clemson -8.5 at NC State NC St win moves us up a spot. I think there is some possibility we move ahead of Clemson if both win out and lots of other games go our way.
8pm Virginia Tech at Miami -3 Miami loss eliminates small chance they win out and diminishes future game against ND.
3:30 Army at Air Force -6 clearly Army is a must win for our SOS or our season is over.
Unlikely to go our way, but anything can happen
3:30 Wake Forest at Notre Dame -15.5
8pm LSU at Alabama -21
3:30 South Carolina at -23 Georgia

12pm Penn State -10 at Michigan State PSU winning out gives us win against top 10 team. Hard to root for them I’ll be happy either way.
12 pm Wisconsin -11 at Indiana Need Wisc to win out to give us a huge B10 Championship game
7:30 Minnesota at Michigan -15 We play UM not Minn
3:30 Northwestern -2.5 at Nebraska We paly Neb but not NW
12pm Auburn -15 at Texas A&M We want Auburn to lose but look good, we will be rooting for them later. Auburn loss diminishes one of Clemson’s big wins.
7:15 Texas at TCU -7 this one is a stretch, but let’s root for Texas and knock the B12 down a bit more
10:45 Arizona at USC -7 Arizona win diminishes a big ND win.
Oh, and BTW Ohio State -21 at Iowa. Yes I am allowed to overlook Iowa – I’m a fan not a coach or player.
