I've been doing this for years on various sites.
It's fun to do and the rankings change drastically as the year goes on and you are welcome to post how you see it from your point of view:
1. Ohio State (The 36-7 second half vs a solid Indiana team was as impressive after a sluggish start)
2.) Penn State (Rolled from beginning to end)
3.) Michigan (Florida is awful. They were more awful w/o their best WR and RB. This win will not look nearly as good a few weeks or hours from now :-)
4.) Wisconsin (After a slow start - they did what Wisconsin does)
5.) Iowa (They made the #1 pick in next years draft look pedestrian)
6.) Michigan State (No way they're having another year like last. All that talent that didn't show up last year is still there - and a year older)
7.) Maryland (They may not stay this high but - good lord - they've got speed in spades)
8.) Nebraska (They played a crappy opponent , but, I like the new QB and they have recruited some play-makers. I don't see the prototypical Nebraska I-back which may be a problem at some point, but, someday, maybe not this year, Nebraska will be a Top 20 program again)
9.) Northwestern (I'm a fan of Fitz and picked them to win the West but - I live in Reno and for the UNR team, without their best player (now playing RB at Iowa) to take the Wildcats to the end is shocking. This game should not have been close and, if not for a bad fumble call, Nevada-Reno should have won.
10.) Indiana (I know they lost big in the end - but - if they find any running game at all to go with that passing game, they will win 5 or 6 games, which is more than the next four will win.
11.) Minnesota (Loved the Gophers under Kill and Claeys - not so much under Fleck. They have no QB and they will lose over and over again this year for the sins of running off Mason and Claeys after both posted the best marks in Minnesota history. Fleck will be fine over time - but - this year, they will not win five games)
12. Purdue (Tempted to put Purdue at 11. They gave Louisville a very good game. Brohm is going to do what the previous two guys couldn't - get to a bowl again. Not this year...but before 2020.
13. Rutgers (They gave a Top 10 Washington team a game. As long as Ash gets some of those NJ boys - he'll have a chance to get out of the basement)
14. Illinois ( Ball State should not be within three points of any BIG 10 team. This is going to be a long year for the Illini. I do like Lovie, however, and hope that things go well, eventually)
