Don't effective in-game offensive adjustments require that you take what the defense is giving you? If you're focused on getting certain guys the ball, or stubbornly insist on keeping to the pre-game plan, you're missing the boat. An effective offensive strategy immediate adjusts to in-game situations, independent of certain play makers, and takes and exploits what the defense is giving you. Anything else is less than optimal. That's the true waste of talent.
