College football should just have one huge playoff this season. Throw regular football out the window for now because there's too much that needs to go right for it to make it through an entire season.

Sixty-four team March Madness style tournament. Seeds based on last 3 seasons final rankings average. Have 6 weeks of games occur with 2-3 weeks between them to account for positive COVID tests, stretching from September until the first week of 2021. This would also give teams time to travel and rest. Games played at top seed's house until the Final Four which keep their bowl contracts.

All TV (and other) money divided between conferences equally or by percentage of teams represented in the tournament (with all conferences getting a share).

Each game teams are almost at full health which means full-strength matchups. It'd give us a blueprint on playoff expansion for down the line. It would theoretically provide us the exact matchups we want to see by the end, as well as hopefully one or two great upsets. Teams that never sniff the Top-25 would get great air time on TV they normally never do.

Scrap this season because it's going to have an asterisk next to it anyways, regardless of what happens.
