Our beloved former backup QB, Joe Bureaux, did things the right way when he stuck it out over several years working hard and humbly being a good teammate at OSU. He got his degree in the process and graciously went to a school where he could start and truly pursue his NFL dream, only after it was confirmed he would not be the starting QB at OSU. He has been classy in how he talks about the Bucks and has remained supportive of former Buckeye teammates. In his first year at LSU, Burrow did very well to provide consistency at QB to a team that often struggles at the position but is loaded with top talent at skill positions and defense. That consistency led to knocking off number 8 Miami, number 7 Auburn, number 2 Georgia, number 22 Miss State, and number 8 UCF who had been undefeated over two seasons until they met in the Fiesta Bowl.

While 2018 was a nice story for Joe and we all rooted for his success, he is not messing around as he leads the 2019 Tigers. He was cold blooded in his first outing going 23 of 27 for nearly 300 yards and tossing 5 Touchdown passes, tying a school record for TD passes at LSU, on his way to a 55-3 victory over GA Southern. Watch the LSU Tigers as they look to challenge Bama for the top spot in the SEC West and Joey Burrow throws his name in the hat for a Heisman candidacy that could legitimately begin to formulate if they can take out Bama and continue to flex. They have a huge game at Texas next week that could prove to have major implications down the line. Buckeye Nation is rooting for you Joey! Send Texas Tom a little message for us!
