After hearing over and over how the Buckeyes have not had a quality win until this past weekend. I decided to look at a couple of other top teams "quality" wins up to this point.
Alabama: FSU was supposed to be their signature win at this point, but little to boost any resume at all. Yes – some may claim losing their QB is the factor, but no top team should be that bad if they only lost one player, and the last I saw he did not play defense too. They will have some games to boost their resume, but till this point A&M might be their best win. With a combined record of 30-34 of teams they played, and only three teams having winning records out of the eight games (CSU and Fresno the other two) not sure why they are deemed the undisputed #1.
Georgia: Notre Dame is their big win with the Second best being Miss. St. Only one in conference game appears to be a quality team that being Miss. St. the rest have losing records. Four teams they have played have winning records including App. St. and Samford. The combined record of teams they have played is 35-29.
Ohio State: Obviously the best win is PSU – the rest of the wins were not against great teams but not like the games were very close either. Combined record of teams played is 37-27.
Too busy to continue at this point – but I am sure some teams have might have better resumes, and yes, it is too early, but tired of hearing the wins were against horrible teams, and not noting the same for many of the other teams.
