Well, it turns out Ole Miss staffers may have watched The Wire. There is a new accusation from Houston Nutt's lawyer that they did just that. Ole Miss asked 29 staff members to sign an affidavit saying they had not used burner phones. All denied it. Ole Miss reported the accusation to the NCAA. Nutt's lawyer has refused to provide evidence to date, but after he proved correct on the escort phone call, he isn't being dismissed out of hand. We don't know what that MSU blogger may have found or if the former recruit that got immunity may have calls or texts from a burner number. If it can be linked to one of the 29 staffers, it adds another layer of infraction that could worsen the ultimate penalty. The story continues to evolve.
