Per Lincoln Riley, former TAMU QB Kyler Murray has won the backup job at OU, and is now the heir apparent to Baker Mayfield when he leaves after this year.  Former backup, Austin Kendall, of "basic defense" fame, is now third string.

So if you were hoping for an opportunity to see Austin in the Shoe this year in either injury relief or garbage time - sorry.
