Came across this story via Freep.com - after four years active duty Army with tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait, Isaiah Brock is attending Oakland University (MI) on a basketball scholarship.

After a tough upbringing in Baltimore, Brock enlisted in the Army to better himself. Because he was not a diligent student in high school, the NCAA recently decided to rule Brock ineligible for his freshman year. This after months of efforts to show his growth otherwise (obtained college credits on active duty).

Another in a long line of head-scratchers, as Brock is raw on the court (grew over a half foot in the Army), and doesn't figure to make an immediate impact.
