3 judges were at a conference & decided to go for drinks afterwards. After drinks they decided to go to a strip club which they found to be closed so plan B was to hit the nearby White Castle. Before entering the restaurant someone in a passing car yelled something at the judges which prompted judge Bell to flip them off. Judge Bell was not tested for BAC, but she claims to have no memory of the incidents.
A Street fight ensues and one of the judges ends up kicking a man who was on the ground in the back. This proved to be quite the error in judgement as at least one of their opponents had just been awarded probation 2 weeks earlier and the person who was kicked in the back happened to be armed and had no qualms about shooting 2 judges.
Both judges survived. It was noted that their BAC was well above the legal limit for driving.
I have so many unanswered questions. Was the 4th judge who did not get involved in any of this the designated driver? Can we have his story? - it’s bound to be entertaining. How did they convince Ms. Bell to go to a strip club? Are these judges really originally from Florida? Is a 1 month suspension (2 for the judge who kicked the guy) really an appropriate discipline?
