I live in Holly Ridge, and the eye wall is now right over us. So far a lot of rain, and wind but my area isnt flooding due to how high up above sea level we are. Still have power. Stay safe all my fellow Carolina buckeye friends. Were in for a long slow burn of a hurricane, hopefully everybody is safe, remember material possessions can be replaced your life and your families lives cannot.

Update

The worst of it all has passed, mostly just wind now, still have power and looks like everyone in our community is fine. Safety checks from work showing everyone who stayed is safe and sound. Yes the hurricane wasnt as bad as projected, however, I havent been able to get out and assess the whole city of holly ridge or Snead's ferry or even topsail beach (mandatory evac their).
