Hey everyone, 

My name is MiamiBuckeye because for as long as I've been a member of this forum I've been based in the Miami area. But soon I'll be leaving Miami to attend University of North Texas's PhD in Creative Writing program. I've visited Denton, TX once when the program flew me out to meet the faculty and my future colleagues, so I know it's a nice town. 

I also (just today) checked out a Buc-ee's in Alabama, so I'm really excited about having those nearby for the next 4-5 years. What I am wondering about though is what sort of things are "must-do" while you live in Texas.
