AMC's The Terror--Anyone Else Seen It?

The Terror is an AMC miniseries (which might possibly be expanded into a multi-season anthology series, although the showrunners of season 1 apparently don't want to return) of 10 episodes, an adaptation of the Dan Simmons novel of the same name. Its story concerns the ill-fated Franklin Arctic expedition of 1847, where two Royal Navy ships were sent to find the Northwest Passage but never returned. The real life story of the Franklin Expedition is already spooky enough, with starvation, extreme cold, potential mutiny, and eventually cannibalism, but the show embellishes the gaps in history by introducing a supernatural element: a deadly and voracious beast that at first glance seems to be a polar bear but is really something much more bizarre and dangerous. Here's the trailer below:

The cast is excellent and the writing and cinematography blew me away. I rank The Terror up there with Season 1 of True Detective in terms of a short, taut, powerful television experience.

Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?
