No. 1 Texas has experienced significant attrition along its offensive line less than four weeks before it plays No. 2 Ohio State.
Redshirt sophomore Andre Cojoe, who was competing with Brandon Baker to start at right tackle for the Longhorns, suffered a season-ending knee injury on Monday, per multiple reports.

Cojoe played in four games in 2024 for Texas, seeing action against Colorado State, UTSA, Louisiana-Monroe and Florida. All of those appearances came in the first month of the Longhorns' season. A three-star prospect from the recruiting class of 2023, he brings good size to the tackle position at 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds.
With Cojoe out for the season, Baker is in line to be the Longhorns’ new starting right tackle, replacing Cameron Williams, who is now a Philadelphia Eagle after being selected in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft. Baker, a sophomore, appeared in eight games as a freshman. He enters with a lot of recruiting aplomb. A five-star in the 247Sports composite ranked as the No. 32 overall prospect and No. 2 offensive tackle in the recruiting class of 2024, Baker was also heavily recruited by Ohio State before signing with the Longhorns.
The Buckeyes and Longhorns will play the first-ever season-opener between the top two teams in the Coaches Poll on Aug. 30. Baker will hope to have more success blocking against Ohio State's defensive ends than Williams did in last year's Cotton Bowl.
