Just when you thought two Purdue castoffs starting against each other would be the height of SEC quarterback play this weekend, here comes Vanderbilt QB Kyle Shurmur.

An eye injury sidelined him in last week's loss to Florida, but he's back at it this weekend with Kentucky. He will, however, wear a "protective eye shield" in this Saturdays' matchup with Kentucky.

Losing to Vanderbilt led by a QB with one functioning eye might be rock bottom for Kentucky coach Mark Stoops.
