Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the court during a basketball workout at USC Monday.

According to a report from NBA insider Shams Charania, James was initially hospitalized in the ICU but has since been released and is in stable condition.

James, son of NBA legend LeBron James, committed to USC over Ohio State and Oregon back in May. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is a five-star prospect and the No. 22 overall recruit in the 2023 class.

In July of 2022, five-star USC freshman Vince Iwuchukwu suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during an informal team workout with the Trojans and was sidelined indefinitely. Iwuchukwu was eventually cleared to play in January.
