James Franklin Expected to be Penn State's Next Coach

When Bill O'Brien finally pulled the ripcord on his NFL parachute, two names were reportedly at the top of Penn State's wish-list: Miami's Al Golden and Vanderbilt's James Franklin. After Golden announced he would not seek the job, it appears the Nittany Lions have finally got their man in James Franklin:

Franklin, who was born in Pennsylvania and is a former Maryland offensive coordinator, went 21-15 and 2-1 in bowl games during three seasons at Vanderbilt. Unfortunately for Franklin, however, the United States Postal Service will no longer be able to get him out of those pesky games against Ohio State and Northwestern.

UPDATE (2:08 PM): Vanderbilt defensive end Caleb Azubike claims no decision has been made:
