Thompson, who signed with the Buckeyes in November, is ranked as the No. 9 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. A 6-foot-8, 205-pound forward who plays at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, Thompson is the fourth-highest-rated prospect in the modern recruiting era to sign with the Buckeyes behind only Greg Oden, B.J. Mullens and Jared Sullinger.
The 2026 McDonald’s All-American Game will be played on March 31 in Glendale, Arizona. The game tips off at 9 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN.
