Michael Jenkins of the Atlanta Falcons captures this week's Buckeye NFLer of the Week award. Jenkins grabbed 6 catches for 64 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Atlanta Falcons beat the Houston Texans 26-16.

It marked the first time in Jenkins' career that he has scored multiple touchdowns in one game. The Falcons' 4th year receiver has had a roller coaster NFL career so far, but Buckeye fans know that Jenkins has a lot more talent than he has shown so far. Fans won't soon forget the Purdue game-winner in '02 or the 4th & 14 reception for 17 yards in the 4th quarter of the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, but he has yet to really blow up in the NFL. If Joey Harrington (or any other Falcons quarterback) can give the team any kind of passing game, Jenkins will emerge as another NFL star wide receiver from the scarlet and gray.

Honorable mention goes out to yet another former Buckeye wide receiver, Santonio Holmes> of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Holmes had 6 catches for 128 yards including touchdown catches of 43 and 7 yards. Santonio's effort wasn't good enough to help the previously unbeaten Steelers lose on the road to the Arizona Cardinals, 21-14.
