I love that Burrows is coming to every freakin game (I know I would if I were him). Also are people allowed to essentially visit us for a road game? Is it even worth their time?
I put it on there because who knows when someone can visit, but it's highly unlikely someone every comes during a road game...these are really "week of" so maybe someone comes for practice

Would love to see more names on there for the Nebraska game. I know Michigan is obviously THE GAME and will always be the most hyped game, but for anybody who has ever been to the Shoe at night you'll understand what I'm saying. A night game in Ohio Stadium is one of the craziest atmospheres, if not the craziest, in college football. Hard not to love that as a high school recruit thinking someday you could be playing in front of these fans.

The reason I ask is Cam's name is up there quite a bit. I know you get X amount of officials, but can they all be to the same school?
You are allowed one official per school. An official entails the school paying your way. He can come unofficially as many times as he would like but in this case he pays his own way.
With Drew Barker recently saying he wants to commit early and him visiting the first game, I hope UFM offers soon! Would love to see him be the leader of the '14 class and help bring in the recruits!
@B_PBucksFans... I'm in agreement with you. I would like to see Barker commit ASAP and start recruiting players for us. I've already seen a huge thread on twitter of him, McMillan, Garrett, and Snodgrass talking about playing college football together. Obviously, they have to do what is best for them and their college situation but it would nice to bring a quick haul of Barker, Snodgrass, Booker, Garrett, and McMillan early. I think OSU's defense in the next 3-4 years will be one of the best college football has ever seen.
I too would like him to committ early, hopefully half-way through the season they've seen enough of him in his junior year to offer him and committs. I know he's talked about going to even more games then just these 2 but I think these were the only 2 he was for sure going too.

I also like that Barker is coming to the first game, along with The Game. I like what I have read about him, and hope that he has a spectacular junior season, capped off with getting a commitable offer from OSU, committing to the good guys, and helping recruit a stud 2014 class. He is either a very good recruiting game player and/or really likes OSU. Was a fan of Henderson because he is in my neck of the woods, and will be playing for a very strong team and great coach, but, gotta tell you, his enthusiasm (or his dad's) for Mich makes it harder to root as strongly for him at this point. Am I being a bit childish? Oh most definitely.
If Barker gets his offer and doesnt commit before The Game he will commit there. He will be at two of the most hyped up games on our schedule. Miami becuase its Urban's first game, the Shoe will be rocking. And The Game speaks for itself.

Do the visits by 2013 kids count as officials even though they are already verbally committed? I'm really just wondering what the school can pay for and whether they can do it for the same player multiple times.
Each 2013 prospect is only allowed one official visit...therefore only one visit can have expenses (travel), lodging (hotel), and food paid for by the school up to a certain amount.
I was told yesterday by Billy Price he will be there for the Nebraska Game with his father......And yes it was him in the end zone @ the Miami game....

Damnit getting Bell here would have been huge. I'm not giving up, but I don't like where things are trending with Bell. The energy of the shoe is what can help attract these recruits, and an after-the-season official eliminates that factor. Gives Urbz more time with him, but I'd rather him be here for Nebraska.

As for Vonn Bell it can viewed as both negative and positive. The negative: not witnessing a night game experience with our boys undefeated and on national tv. Holding off until after the season and not witnessing a game atmosphere with other future teammates is not ideal obviously.
The positive: he is going to get one on one treatment with Urban for an extended period of time as they already have a great relationship. He is bringing his entire family with him and Urban is amazing when he has a chance to speak to parents and guardians.
I dont like him not being up here for a game but there could be more going on like Urban told him to hold off bc hes concentrating on coaching this game and finishing the season. Or it could be the only way Urban can get Vonn's parents/guardians on campus at the sametime. Again, i called Bell to be a buckeye bc i believe i got great info on this one from people that ae closer to the situation and i will stick to it or eat crow if he goes volunteer. But remember Vonn did visit twice already and i believe has the best relationship with our coach i trust Urban to hopefully reel this one in.

If we can't get Quick, I'd like to see Timmons in his spot. I know some people on this site don't think Oregon is a legit team, but I'd love to have their offense with the aggressive defense Urban is building.
Elder and Timmons are similar in speed. Elder looks taller and Timmons looks stronger. I saw Elder play against Lex Cath and their game is nearly identical.

A tweet from one of the Buckeye Empire guys stated that Skai Moore will visit this weekend for the Purdue game. Is that true? If so, that seems to show he's very interested since he's visiting so soon after receiving his offer.
The other thing with Skai is that he was reportedly ready to decide before receiving the OSU offer, which pushed back his timetable. I think he wants to visit soon because he's ready to wrap up his recruitment.

Hopefully Da'Shawn Hand makes it as well, as planned--would be great to get a good early impression on him. Not a better game for some of these big recruits to be at, especially if we're shooting for 12-0 at the time + coming off a loss to TSUN last season!

I think it's what SxMidwest said. If Mike H was honest with Coach Kelly that he wanted to take the official to see his brother play, then this is different than taking an OV for the typical reason (i.e., checking out the school). This is similar to what Dymonte Thomas said last year about wanting to visit to see his cousin Bri'Onte Dunn play even though Hoke has a similar policy at UM.
Has the list of recruits for the UM game been this impressive in prior years? There are a lot of players coming with a lot of talent.
Mike Heuerman isnt visiting to see his brother Big Bosa has been on him hard for a long time now fwiw.
Also, Dorian Johnson visiting Pitt for official Nov 17, then visiting OSU for Michigan on an unofficial and then the week after on Dec 6 for an official.

@Hayze, really like our chances with Johnson when he will be in Columbus 2 times in 3 weeks. Johnson, Dawson (hopefully), Gardner and Lisle would be a elite OL class!

I really hope we don't flip Heuerman. So many more positions of need that we have shots at top prospects. Next year will see 4 TE's on scholarship, no reason to make it a fifth. Mike is not a once in a decade talent and not a position of need, so IMO we should pass.

@Triv - I wouldnt be surprised to see Mike play Zach Borens role from when he played O before the LB switch. Also, remember we have no fullbacks on the roster after this season IMO watch Mike's tape and tell me he wouldnt be a nightmare for D's as a blocker/receiver out of the backfield. He is also way more athletic than Boren and is a nasty blocker himself. What would be your opinion on Mike playing that role?

Jeff Heuerman, Nick Vannet, and Blake Thomas all can fill that H back role. I just really would rather see that scholarship spent on a reciever, LB, safety, or OL

@Triv, I agree with you 100%. The only TE I wouldn't mine accepting a pledge from at this point is A.Brenermen even w/his injury. I think he is going to be a really good 1. Similar to the TE that is starring for Notre Dame now!

That is one hell of an impressive list for THE GAME. I bet the atmosphere for that game will make a big impression on the recruits. I love that the 3 Wisky recruits heading to Camp Randall are guys we are after as well. It gives us a chance to make a strong impression on them when we kick Wisky's ass on the road. More than anything I want us to impress those 3 guys because we are seriously in trouble with LB's heading into the next couple years.

According to this article, Sebastian LaRue's visit for The Game has been cancelled. I'm guessing the staff feels good about other recruits or they felt LaRue was a major long shot. Thoughts from the 11W experts?

TOS is reporting that the Mitchell visit depends on how his team does this weekend against a 3-7 team. They suggest that he will have a game Thanksgiving weekend, and wouldn't be able to make the GAME. Is that true or is his visit confirmed?

@Vasanthananth--it is definitely usually the most visited game, but this is more than usual and the talent level is higher...probably because with JT the classes were ultimately wrapped up by now and with Urban we'll be in the game later with big hitters

Any word on Knox visiting? It is still on there (in italics, so no confirmation), but he is supposed to announce right after.
I assume he is commiting to Texas on the 26th (I believe that is the date of his announcement), but if he came in for The Game a couple days before and then did his announcement, it would certainly give me a glimmer of hope instead of thinking he is all UT.

Holy crap with the list for THE game. It's almost an if you are part of the in crowd recruiting wise and are looking at OSU even the tiniest bit, and you don't have a playoff game, it is the place to be and be seen.
