Hopefully people will learn that if you have marijuana and a pipe, just politely deny that it is yours. I think we better chalk this one up to getting lucky that the police department didn't want to get caught up in this problem.

And that probably would have still warranted a few game suspension. So I would say while that may not be a huge deal legally, it would still be bad for the first few games.

Well, Dunn caught a break there.  Hopefully he learns from his shit.  I imagine he's got a date or two with Mickey Marotti after this.

Though I'm not complaining, this is surprising.  How many of you think you could get off of the possession charge simply by denying that it's yours?

Either Mom is really nice for taking the fall or she's setting a real bad example for her son.

With all due respect, nothing seems fishy about this to you?  Best case senario, Dunn isn't too bright, driving his Mom's car, chock full of her pot, not noticing pot on "a seat cushion."  Also part of that senario, his Mom is about the worst parent imaginable to put him at such a risk, and the pot is really hers.

Let's forget the fact that he almost hit a parked police car, a sign of imparment.

Worst case senario, the pot is his, his Mom is jumping on a grenade, the school makes him take a test which he fails, and then this gets even worse for everyone.

Either way this plays out, this is the kind of stuff that draws the attention of the NCAA, and we don't need that.  If you want to bang on people for not waiting for the facts, I'd suggest you heed your own advise, I highly doubt this is over.

Neither the pot nor pipe was on his person. There is no mention of the smell of pot or erratic behavior. (And hence, no justification for the search in the first place.) It said UNDER 200 grams (a whopping seven ounces). They let mom take the fall and let the issue drop, to their credit, because it was a cold pipe under the seat with some crumbs in it that had fallen on the floor. Probably easy to believe it was hers (I believe it). 

Or, they were just about to smoke a bowl but saw the cop and threw the pipe under the seat, which caused him to over ride the stop sign line. But then how does he almost hit the cop car? And how does he only have one loaded bowl of pot on him? And who smokes a bowl while driving, you don't want to have to throw a pipe out the window (a joint sure)?

I don't believe that there is anything much else to it and I don't think that it will come up again with any further news. I'm just glad reason prevailed, rare in such circumstances in my experience, and a good mark for the APD. Happy for Dunn, now leave that stuff at home! 

UNDER 200 grams = 0 to 200. Nothing was said about a "bag" that I read. It was crumbs mate. 

@alexroot less then 200 grams means anything from a flake of weed to 199 grams...as for @buckguy I don't deny it being fishy and still a demonstration of bad decisions made by dunn and I hope he's drug tested by Urban but my beef was with the fact that people were screaming "dunn's been arrested" (media) with no facts. Even if the charges were not dropped a weed ticket is alot different then " dunn's been arrested" thats all I was saying.

I wonder if they were to mandate a drug test in college football/basketball who would eligible to play....
