Claim he didn't have a committable offer from Michigan, Florida, or Alabama
Say the same 3 schools really cooled on him the past month
say they would rather have another defensive end who is more athletic and more upside.
Michigan Scout Forum is funny to read some times.
http://forums.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=162&f=2019&t=8929304

trying to justify not landing him, no matter how stupid they sound. You mad bro? Or perhaps, potentially upset? I hate scUM.
Typical SCUM fans....
I love following recruiting. Its funny to me, and OSU fans do the same thing when we lose a guy to another school, we reason it off as to why the kid didn't commit to our side. But this Bosa stuff is ridiculous.
I think its obvious that if Bosa really wanted to go to UM they would have taken him with open arms. By all accounts the Alabama offer was a 'real' one and they would've taken him as well. Alabama was his leader for quite a while. And he's from Florida, so I highly doubt his offer there wasn't a commitable offer to a guy as highly ranked as him, especially in state.
I believe the quote in question was tongue in cheek. The one about Alabama FSU and UM cooling.
Quoting Alex from a different thread but I think it sums it up nicely: "You take Taco Charlton. I'll take Joey Bosa. Let's see who wins."
A more athletic DE with more upside? Whose film did they watch? The kid is a freak.
refering to DE Joe Mathis
Every time one of those asshats refer to us as "Ohio" i am reminded that Ohio took their basketball team to the woodshed in the tourney this year.
I saw a comment that said "as soon as I saw his mugshot on Rivals, I knew he was OSU material"...yes, that's why you wanted him to visit. Mmk.
Yes, we'd rather have the undeveloped, raw, not yet a 4 down player Taco Charlton (plays against not the best competition) over Bosa, a proven demolisher of lines that plays the best teams in the country. Makes sense. There's a reason he's the 2nd DE accross the board (except ESPN, which lists him as a DT >.<)
Facts are hard to face, and they just like to make themselves feel better about their ineptitude through falacious reasoning
To some of their credit, they do have some sane fans who are calling those UM fans that say bosa isn't that good crazy...
ANY college, (or it's dumb-ass fans) in this nation that would say they didn't offer Bosa, wouldn't offer him, or had no interest in him is a flat out a lying retarded moron that doesn't know one damn thing about football. That is all.
Agreed ^
This kid could've went wherever he wanted. He will be a consensus 5 star across the board by NSD.
Bosa is a top tier prospect, he's gonna be great for y'all, there's no doubt about it. No SMART person would dispute that. However, a little perspective from a scUMbag, Michigan had 3 5-tech DE's in last year's class (Strobel, Godin, Wormley). I disagree with any fan, Michigan or not, that says they aren't excited by Bosa, but WDE is a bigger need for us in '13. Because of this Mathis might be a better fit for US than Bosa. Bosa definitely had a commitable offer to Michigan, not that he was ever a real possibility, so all the scout board proves is that there is at least 1 crazy Michigan fan in the world. Shocking. Almost as crazy as starting a thread specifically to discuss the reaction of RIVAL fans to YOUR commit. Not trying to start anything here, just give a rational perspective on current events. Sincerely, congrats again on the pickup, THE GAME is sure getting interesting! Have fun with your pointless Michigan bashing!!
Facts about The University of Michigan: Our coach is fat, our girls are plain, our campus is uncomfortably close to Detroit...Tell me something I don't know, then super size my fries for me
The best comment of them all from scUM yesterday about Bosa, "Oh no their dline is going to be ridiclous! Oh wait we have LTT, Fox, Bosch, Dawson, AND Kugleybear (yeah I like this name more than his real one), LOL have fun Mr. Bosa. A bunch of pissed off 6'5"+ dudes are going to pancake you!" I wonder if this scUM interweb badass realizes Joey is listed at 6'6" and 260 lbs.? Kind of hard to use your guys height for intimidation when they may be shorter than the one attempting to be intimidated. Typical.
ProudtobeSCum,
I think it is hysterical that you take a jab at us for someone posting about what you guys are saying on your board while you are on our board. Seems like twisted logic to me. Anyone claiming UM would not take Bosa has no clue about football and in regards to who you took last year, we took 3 of the top guys last year and we still wanted Bosa thats how good this kid is.
These are the types of threads that usually don't appear on 11w that makes it such a good blog. SCOUT? Really? I don't even take their site seriously, let alone the forums. Anyway, any Michigan fan, or otherwise, that says Bosa isn't a top talent or that Michigan wouldn't have taken him is ridiculous and lying out their @$$.
However, any Michigan fan that ever thought we had a chance at him (especially after everything that was said after he left Columbus to go to Ann Arbor) is even more absurd. Just go back two weekends ago after Bosa's first visit and every Michigan fan on this site said Michigan had no chance at the kid.
Lastly, who are any of us to know what happens in the future. Is it really unconventional thinking to perceive that 5 of the best offensive linemen could stand a chance against 4 of the top defensive linemen? I'm not saying that either side would dominate, but to think one side or the other would be helpless, is just stupid.

Not trying to start anything here... Really? rational, hail, etc.,..you guys are all the same. what the muck you are doing here anyway? This is "for tOSU by tOSU" fans. We are ok with your so called "other perspective" bs but enough with the back-handed compliments and other bs. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. This kitchen is hot!! MUCK FICHIGAN!!

Hail- it's all silly, anyway. Even 5-stars hit as all-conference players before their career is out at a very low percentage. I don't have it in front of me, but it is something like 1 in 6. Recruiting is fun to watch and entertaining, but saying this individual recruit will beat that individual recruit is flat out ridiculous.
I doubt anybody crowed about how last-in-the-class Troy Smith was gonna eat up Michigan and look what happened. Three stars. Like AJ Hawk.
Predicting how recruits will do is just an exercise in trash talk.
@YTOWNNUT
When you start lumping all fans together, especially when it's referring to something that we discounted before it happend and predicted it would still happen, we're going to defend ourselves. I can take anything you can dish out, but none of us are here to get in a pissing contest. I don't know how much more you can compliment a kid than by saying I wish he was on our team. If that's backhanded, it's news to me.
I mean, I can hover around Bucknuts for a day or two and come back over here and classify it as the Buckeye fans' consensus belief on something, and the majority of you would have a conniption because we all know that most of those guys over there are the extreme and would be a very poor sampling to pull from. I hope you're smart enough to realize there is a difference among posters and even forums.

Hey "Proud to be" what are you talking about "3-5 Tech DE's"
Do you mean stars, because I know for sure that Strobel is rated a 4 but was a 3 star from Mentor OH before SCUM commitment.... I've seen him play and he is not anything near Bosa, nor a 5 Star, hell nor a 4 star either!
"Statistics always remind me of a fellow who drowned in a river where the average depth was only three feet." - Coach Woody Hayes
@hail has become quite the Diva on 11W. He/she definitely gets much more satisfaction out of posting on OSU blogs than scUM blogs. Keep this in mind as you read his/her posts and write your responses. Also consider @hail is probably a wal-mart wolverine who most likely didn't go to scUM.
- Respect the Rivalry -
@redshirt ensign: 3-5 tech DE's are positions on the defensive line. Based on where the DE is lined up exactly, it is based on being inside or outside of offensive tackle etc.
I think we all said that we would take Bosa in a heartbeat, but any Wolverine fan who follows recruiting knew it was unrealistic. We were never really a factor in his recruitment and we said that last week as well. ( I know I did) So, I am not heartbroken here.
Unlike later today, If Levenberry decides FSU over Michigan I will be bummed out. Because we have a realistic shot with that young man. I never bought stock on Bosa to Michigan. Good for you guys, he is a nice pickup and if you want to chalk up a W for Meyer over Hoke on this one go for it. It was always Alabama and you guys IMO.
@fail
Maybe you should look up the definition of Walmart Wolverine. No I didn't attend UofM. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford the 35k out of state tuition and didn't want to take on $140k in student loans just so I could attend my dream school where my favorite team plays football. Instead I spend $600/year and support the football team 6-8 times a year. Apparently, you're one of the few here that is ignorant enough to challenge my fandom or devotion to my team.
So if posting a few times a day on this blog makes me a diva, sure thing. If pointing out that someone has a misinformed (which is different than opinionated) point of view about Michigan, makes me a diva, than so be it. Whatever makes you feel better, fail. BTW, your username is contradictory in nature, as Michigan = the victors. So, you might think you're clever because you don't "hail," but instead, fail, which would still allude to the fact that Michigan resides above you.

This is the kind a thing I pointed out on another forum before a scUM troll jumped down my throat for pointing out a valid observation. Delusional scUM fans gonna be delusional I guess.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
I always found the "walmart wolverine" label hilarious. All of the state of Ohio is a fan of the buckeyes, and I am postitive not everyone went there. So, what does it make the rest of the state of Ohio? Walmart buckeyes??
deleted
“The teams that don’t respect their coaches and don’t trust their coaches are the teams that go .500"
~Zach Boren
Nah, it's not catchy. But let's drop the whole "Wal-Mart" label for either side, we both live in states with hilbilly surplusses, and cant be responsible for every misguided passion
Let's get the first part out of the way: I never thought Michigan had a chance with Bosa, which sucks, because he's crazy good. I would've liked to see him in maize and blue, but I knew that wasn't gonna happen. Any Michigan fan who says different, or that the staff wouldn't have taken him is an idiot, which makes him/her 700% more likely to be posting on a Scout board.
If we're talking about board-to-board comparisons (re: "I think it is hysterical that you take a jab at us for someone posting about what you guys are saying on your board while you are on our board.) - let's compare apples to apples. The closest UM analog to 11W is Mgoblog, not Scout - that's more like Bucknuts (which I've seen OSU fans like yourselves mock openly on this very board). I know you have your own separate issues with Mgoblog, but nobody on there would say that about Bosa - and if anyone did, they'd be ridiculed.
End of the day, let's call it what it is: a great get for OSU, but not a heartbreaking one for UM.
I know the textbook definition is someone who didn't go to UM but wears UM clothes they bought at Walmart. MSU fans (as well as other UM haters) now use the term to describe the large number of people who are die hard UM fans that didn't actually go to UM. In most cases, these "Walmart-wolverines" are more intense fans then actual UM students or alumni.
I will continue to use the label. Wal-mart Wolverine flows.
- Respect the Rivalry -
Allright - enough with the Wal-mart bashing. You meet the nicest people when you shop there and it is always entertaining. And how 'bout those low prices. Save your misguided venom for K-Mart....
I don't know where you live and thus cannot speculate on the state of your Wal-Mart, but the rare occasion that I frequent the store, I always make sure to carry a knife and clench my butthole
I always make sure to peruse the sporting good section for Wolverine gear
- Respect the Rivalry -
Wow I totally didn't know that Bosa's dad was a 1st round DE. Some seriously good breeding in that family. And you don't have to go to a school to root for it. I got academic rides to OSU and a number of other schools but I went elsewhere because despite my diehard love of OSU, 60k was just too big of a school for me. I'm pretty sure the Walmart names are for die hard fans of college teams who never in a million years ever went to any college. Like the dudes wearing mich/OSU gear who are drinking maddog out of a paper bag in an empty parking lot that used to a mall.
You guys are exhausting. The walmart thing is just selling yourselves short, especially if you're doing it because Sparty says it's cool.
So then I guess that means that the Buckeyes stick to the plumbing section? http://youtu.be/dFuR56RxlGc

I prefer to shop at Target, thank you very much.
Walmart Wolverine IMO = the guy with the UM calendar and coffee mug who sits next to you at work that's always talking about UM sports. You secretly know he went to Western Michigan but you don't call him out because its funnier to let him keep believing.
- Respect the Rivalry -
When I shop at my local Target I run into people I know, friends from church, parents of my son's friends etc. When I go to Wal-Mart (literally acorss the street from Target) they are the exact same people I see at the Wal-Mart in Florida or Houston. I swear they are bussed in.
Still stuck on that, huh, Fail? Maybe we should take a poll on 11W of people who attended or will potentially attend OSU vs those who didn't. By your logic, if they didn't attend OSU that means they're not real fans? That they just put up fronts to fit in? Is that what you're saying? That's how you sound.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
~Bo Schembechler
@PAM - I will concede that it it's fun every once in a while, just for the lulz, but then I hate myself afterwards. All Target needs is a better grocery section. The one on campus just renovated, and it's still a pretty sad collection. Whole Foods and Giant Eagle's Market District have the entire city beat 'twixt the two of them.
Who flippin cares, the only thing they'll be saying in a couple years (if he turns out to be as good as everyone thinks he is) will be, "Man, he is a great player, I wish he didn't play for them."
Which is what most of them are saying now anyways.
@Hail relax I just think its funny
- Respect the Rivalry -
@ Hodge-Back in my day at tOSU, we would go to Gold Circle (anyone remember those?) on the weekends when we went to our parents house and load up on canned soup and kool-aid. Our mom's would send a meat loaf or some chicken back with us. Whenever I complain about being broke, I think zbout those days living on 9th street.
@PAM - I had friends who lived in a now-condemned building on 9th, 4 townhouse unit right behind the south campus Taco Bell (annual murder site). Place was terrible.
I consider myself a Costco Buckeye, or maybe an Aldi Buckeye? Food4Less Buckeye? Tops Buckeye.... or even a Michael's Arts and Crafts Buckeye. Either way, I did not attend tOSU, but I am as diehard as someone who has.
It's obvious to me that anyone who comments on this site (OSU or UM fan), is among the hardest of the hardcore. I mean, the regulars here talk football damn near 365 days a year! If that's not true fandom, I don't know what is.
The thing that cracks me up is how many OSU students buy tickets and don't attend games, or chat with their friends the whole time. For them, the games are merely a social function--I don't get it. Sat with my girlfriend's roommates my Junior year, damn near had a conniption fit every game!
^^^ agreed, when I go, I am fixated on the field during every second, at least when I try to explain to my gf what is happening, what I should think happen, and talkj strategy so she picks up on things.
Who cares what other people consider to be a true fan or not. I live in Kentucky and never attended Ohio State, does that make me less of a fan? Perhaps to some, but I could care less what someone sitting at a keyboard that I'll never meet thinks about me.
It's laughable, though, that Michigan fans that come to an Ohio State board would be surprised by comments like Wal-Mart Wolverine. No matter what defense you come up with, you are still on an Ohio State blog, of course people are going to keep giving you a hard time, you are an admitted Michigan fan who choses to comment on your rival's blog. No one cares if you point out that many people on this site didn't go to Ohio State.
Personally, I don't mind having the other viewpoints of Michigan fans, but you can't act shocked that people won't view Ohio State fans(those who went to the school and those who didn't) the same as Wal-Mart Wolverines. It's hypocritical sure, but sports fans are hypocrites!
@ Hodge-It was not so bad in '72 or least we didn't think so at the time. We just loved having our own place even if it meant eating soup everyday in order to afford. $109.00 a month. That's my dry cleaning bill
This whole thread is disappointing. 11W has been the one Ohio State sports blog where this asinine stuff is avoided, where Michigan and Ohio State fans can actually hold a civil conversation and not feel disrespected. Now it seems like every time a Michigan fan comments there is a fight. A handful of members immediately call them liars, call them scUM, search for ulterior motives, and tell them to leave. Come on, guys. We're better than this.
Class of 2008
It's not the one thing. It's the dismal tide.
Imaginary upvote for Scott.
@scott: It is definitely becoming a trend here and kind of annoying. I feel like every other day I need to explain to some new guy on here why I am posting. It does become very exhausting defending yourself and your intentions on here. Instead of having good football talk the conversations shift to why ScuM fans post here.
^^^^ Agree 100% with Scott. I come here to avoid this crap that goes on at Bucknuts, yet a few feel the need to act like children. The UM fans that post on here are respectful and offer a different perspective which is nice to hear. Why some of you feel the need to jump down their throats at EVERY comment they make is beyond me. These actions are EXACTLY like those "SCUM" fans you claim to hate so much. I don't know how many times I see ppl pulling quotes from UM boards, or brag about being kicked off a board, yet when UM fans posts respectfully on here they are being out line???? Maybe some of you need to look up the defintion of hypocrite. Hears a hint...its not something you want to be.
Agreed, Scott. If you look at my first comment on this thread, I point out that this thread is below 11W quality.
For the record, I'm not offended by TTUN, TSUN, AACC, scUM, Wolverqueens, Meatchicken, Miss-again, or walmart wolverine (especically at a rivals' board), and I'm not asking anyone to stop using those terms. Walmart Wolverines, as you will, imply "posers" or "social/bandwagon" fans, which I am not, and will never be. I don't want it to be misconstrued that any of us Wolverine fans on this site are sensitive to the name's you have for our beloved university. However, I won't stand for anyone that implies that I'm some wannabe fan.
As Hodge the mediator points out, my loyalty probably was never in question, and if anything, most of us are probably in the top 1% of those who are a little borderline obsessed with our teams. So, my apologies if I stepped out of line after being called a diva and Walmart Wolverine.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
~Bo Schembechler
@Rational, Seriously, stop talking. You serve no purpose on this website and I find your overall presence on this board offensive. You may think you viewpoints are valid, but they border on delusion and insanity..... I am playing man, I like your input and don't mind your posting. I just wanted to start this response harsh and attacking to rile you up a bit, then end it in a joking manner. Again, no hostility on my part since you are respectful.
Edit: this pertains to @Hail as well, heh
Scott, how long have you been around? I remember during the football season Buckeye Fans calling other Buckeye Fans "Fake Assed Buckeyes" because some of us had that audacity to think that Fickell shouldn't be the head coach beyond last season. Of course now that Urban is picking off recruits like crazy and saying/doing all the right things, you never hear from those folks.
Over the years I've seen people name call and fight with eachother on here that were both Buckeye fans, a couple even talked about meeting in the parking lot at the Rose Bowl. This is definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to websites, but in the 4 or more years I've been coming to this site, people have talked down to other fans. Not saying it's right, just saying it happens all the time.
As long as MMan has commented on this site there he has gotten a few rogue comments acting as if he is not welcome here. It's not the norm, but it happens. I would expect to be treated much the same if I went to MgoBlog and commented. There are always going to be those few people who just don't like that you are in their territory.
Rational and Hail you don't have to explain why you are here commenting to anyone, so don't do it. Who cares what the others think. MOST know why you are here and appreciate your perspective.
This thread should be stickied at the top of the forum, or some similar thread titled "Pointless Pissing Contest" and then anytime a person feels compelled to post something about "Walmart Wolverines" etc. there will be a place to post it. That way the rest of the Football forum can be used to talk about, you know, football.
This thread might be one of the most exhausting things I have ever read. Would people quit acting surprised when Ohio State & Michigan fans say irrational things to each other or have rainbow bifocals when discussing their teams situation.
When in doubt, I just follow Doctor Who's lead:
Well this thread got out of hand fast.
My dog barfed, then ate it up and looked at me as if nothing was wrong. I looked at him, dumbfounded. That is how I feel right now.....
Scott - 1000% agree. Lets leave this pointless back and forth to the other sites. I come here for good, intelligent fan-based reporting & news.
"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx
I went to OSU and that was when my fandom started. I grew up in Cincy, and we all know that isn't a Buckeye town. All it took was one home football game and I was hooked. Now, that isn't a pre-req to be a fan. I think the "Walmart Wolverine" thing is pretty funny. To me it is the people that shop at Wally World and buy their paraphanallia there. They don't look like high school grads let alone college. But, I've seen my fare share of Bluelight Buckeye's as well.
I just wonder why the Buckeye fan that is trying to make a differing opinion and is in turn belittled by other Buckeye fan(s), which is happening often lately, wouldn't have the same back up as the ttun fans do here. Do not know of many times, if any, someone came to their aide and they are on the same side! It seems strange but have wondered where are the ones that continually defend ttun fans but never our own? Put in a daily life perspective of, I'll defend that persons family but not my own. Not trying to stir things but if we are going to play who is right and who is wrong it needs to be asked. Just a thought.
"Bluelight Buckeye"
Never heard that one, that's pretty good.
Somewhat like Doc, my fandom started running much deeper after I started attending tOSU. I was a "fan" before, but going to the school made me a much more passionate fan. That was my experience.
Oh, and Bosa rules...
@FortMeyer
People here will defend logic and reason. Sadly as of late, it's been the UM fans displaying both (at least in comparison to the few 11Wers that continue to call them out and tell them to get off "their" site).
We're all fans, but leave the homerism to the ESPN conversation boards.
This thread is turning into a Scout message board..
@Hodge, the "Bluelight Buckeye" just came to me. "Walmart Wolverine" both start with W, why not make fun of us with B's. Most people might not remember the bluelight specials at Kmart, but it was the only thing I thought fit. I better patten this moniker before AACC fans think they thought it up ;}.
I just dont understand how you cant find "Walmart-Wolverine" funny if your an OSU fan.
- Respect the Rivalry -
@btalbert25 I've followed the site for a few years. I know there have always been people here and there that would make remarks to opposing fans, but I have never witnessed it as rampant and unrelenting as it is now.
Class of 2008
I don't really care for the name-calling. "Walmart Wolverine" in my mind is dumb, just as using TTUN/TSUN is dumb. It's the University of Michigan, and we are The Ohio State University, not "Ohio." I just don't get the stupid jabs that both sides throw at each other, also Rational, Hail and MMan are 3 of the best commenters on this site, they provide thoughtful analysis and to each of them I would say ignore the detractors that have migrated from the ESPN/Scout boards to 11W.
I am definitely a newbie here. I've been a buckeye fan my whole life. Was born and raised here, my moms brothers both graduated from tOSU, one of which was a member of TBDBITL. I personally didn't attend tOSU, but that doesn't make me any less of a fan. In my time here, I've noticed a definite regression in civility towards the fans of tsun, as well as towards fellow buckeye fans. I can understand hostility towards fans of tsun who are obvious trolls. But I haven't witnessed personally any of those types of comments from hail, rational or m man. And I don't personally feel they should have to defend their presence here. I personally feel that their opposing viewpoints and insights into enemy territory is quite welcome. Again, I am new here. Don't want to ruffle any feathers. Just don't see the need for seemingly level headed fans of the enemy to be blasted for offering their point of view.
@FortMeyer I think there is something to be said for being able to disagree without being disagreeable. I have defended the few Michigan fans who are 11W members because they have shown that ability. If they hadn't, they wouldn't have my respect.
Class of 2008
I think MMan has faced some resistance on this board for years, and either ignores it or has a witty response back. I don't think that Hail or Rational are bad commenters but you can definitely tell when people hit a nerve with you guys. Your response when people do hit a nerve, though it's always respectful, is what makes people make comments like Why are you even on this site?, etc. etc. People can tell that they are annoying you so they keep it up. M Man, I've never been able to detect much emotion out of his comments, and that's why he rarely gets the questions and call outs you guys do.
That's definitely not a shot at either of you, because your comments are never out of line or anything, but I do think it's pretty obvious when something gets under your skin a bit, so you know some folks are going to keep pushing.
Even the best blogs have their downside, and if not for 11W growing so big so fast in the last 15-16 months it's likely we wouldn't have the perspective of Hail and Rational here either. You have to take the good with the bad.
I'm sure there are things about MGoBlog and it's wild popularity that are bad as well. Unfortunately, that's the cost of fame.
@william and scott: Thanks guys I do appreciate it, you can tell its the newbies that come on here and say something. It is never a name I am a familiar with. Me and Fort Meyer get into it once in a while, but hey that is the fun part. You have to admit without us; it does make it a little less entertaining around here. Vice versa as well, I do not get as much enjoyment blogging with Michigan fans as I do here. Too many times it is people lathering up in their own butter. But, I do love debating disbutes amongst the teams and defending my team when it is called for, just like some of you.
I am sure some of you come on here everyday thinking what crazy thing did Hail or Rational post today that we can argue and dispute over lol.
I love it when we post something anti-Michigan on here and the Michigan fans get all butthurt and defensive over it and rush over here to condescend us. This is an Ohio State forum after all, deal with it.
P.S. I like how "Rational Mfan" has to have rational in his name just to announce his false sense of rational behavior. Your not fooling anyone there pal.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
I have to agree with Scott and everyone else who has posted about the civility. I chose this site mostly because it seemed like there was good sports talk without the nastiness. Seems like every single thread that's started now turns into a 4 page argument. Why can't people just stick to the topic at hand? If someone say's something you don't like either ignore it or explain your position in an adult intelligent manner and move on. Lately it almost makes me sorry I donated money to this site.
No offese to anyone on here, we all love football and we all love the Buckeyes (except the Um fans who frequent the site of course) but this thread went from being okay to being just silly.
I could care less about M Man, Rational, and Hail or any other Um fans being on here and commenting. I love OSU, but I'm not sure why hearing an opposing viewpoint is such a big deal. Its not like those guys come on here and say "Michigan is the greatest, Hoke is the best, Ohio State is the devil" or anything like that. They might feel those things, but they are generally respectful and I appreciate their comments on here.
@GraySkullSession : You are the perfect example of what I was referring to. Internet tough guy. You came on here a week ago and just started to stir crap, you contribute nothing to this blog but attack me and other Michigan fans. I sure as hell know you wouldn't do this to my face and I know for a fact I contribute more to this blog than you, I at least bring something to the table, you just take up space. It is all good you must be an immature 18 year old, I do not blame you some people mature later in life.
GraySkullSession? This is a joke for what it's worth.
^^^^That is exactly what I envision him to be haha.
It's probably best to just not address posts like that anymore. M Man does a good job of it.
It is not that I want to address it, I sincerely think this is a good blog and it takes away from the conversations being held on here.
Maybe the powers that be around here should go back and delete any new members starting 6 months back and move forward. The new trolls would be gone and we could go back to our civility. /sarcasm.
But seriously every thread does seem to degrade into some kind of pissing match. AACCMan, Rational and Hail seem like good enough blokes. They may be miss guided with their team of choice, but still nice enough fellas. Leave them alone. They don't try to flame us on, so don't flame them.

It's not defending that teams fans, as it is defending their right to be hear and comment respectfully. Treat them like guests in your own home would be treated. Some of the fans of our team need a good woodshedding.
@Doc
** checking to see when my first post was **
In seriousness, I agree with what you say. These guys (UM fans) that post here clearly are not of the m1ek variety...
@Baroclinicity you are safe. You've been here over 30 weeks. I say anything less than 24 weeks should be gone;]
@doc
I find that to be quite unfair to all newbies. I haven't commented very often. But I feel like when. Do, I'm not out of line nor disrespectful of anyone. I'm here for the same reason anyone is here. I love my buckeyes, I love talking football with other knowledgeable fans, and I need my daily fix during the offseason.
Edit: missed the wink at the end of your post. My apologies
@Rational your last post was completely Irrational. If were truly rational you wouldn't have proceeded to engage in a pissing contest with anyone on this forum.

I like rational, m man, and hail. They are my friends :(
There is way too much energy going into bickering on this thread.
Don't feel bad, recruit. 90% of my friends and coworkers are Buckeye fans.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

@ BTALBERT, No that doesnt make you less of a fan at all. In fact, I find it downright childish that someone would even suggest that criteria. I get the impression that Fail is one of those snot nosed kids that says if you didnt go to school here you cant be a fan. Get over yourself Fail, that pisses me off. I didnt go to school there but no one would ever doubt my allegiance. The Michigan fans that come to this board are so much easier for me to listen to than the Ohio State fans that have a sense of entitlement to all things Ohio State, which fortunately is the minority, albeit a very loud one.
On a funy note Joey Bosa tweeted

@jbbigbear
I feel bad for tsun for the next 5 years...
I've lurked here for two football seasons, although only joined fairly recently. I don't mind Michigan fans here and appreciate our rivals perspective as long as they follow two rules. One: They call us Ohio State. I wouldn't go to a Michigan board and say names like AACC, ScUM, or TSUN, so don't call us Ohio. Two: realize its an Ohio State board. Yes, we're going to be homers, and generally past the point of reason. I appreciate an outsiders viewpoint, especially regarding Michigan (I subscribe to the know-thy-enemy-school) but don't try and tell me I'm wrong.
11warriors provides the rules and the venue. This is a forum space to talk football. 90% of Michigan fans and players are ridiculous and over the top. As we are to them. As long as we are as civil as possible, why are people so worried about thread topics, thread quality and what a Michigan fans feelings are. This is a FOOTBALL Forum...... can't we have fun and talk football. A discussion about what ridiculous Michigan fans are saying about our latest recruit, is by far more entertaining than breaking down the latest Heuerman tweet.
I always thought it was rediculous that people spell "ridiculous" like that./I Jest
I don't always use SPELL CHECK
but when I do
I spell things right
Spell better my friends.
@Iwearmocs I totally agree. Been lurking for several months but just decided to get involved. I too think the Michigan fans bring something valuable to this forum, and don't deserve to be flamed after each comment. But I do agree with your "ground rules"
Well, Mr. Bosa should be viewing this quite soon :)
Muck Fichigan...
Joey B is reading this right now and quite possibly thinking..."wtf is wrong with some of these people" ??? ...he just got the link off twitter.

You need to lighten up. I didn't say anyone couldn't be a fan of anywhere. I used the term walmart wolverine on an OSu football blog. Big deal.
OSU fans - lighten up its funny - they are our rivals
Hail.m man and rational - fallback
The end

Now that Alex has tweeted this forum at Joey Bosa, all I have to say is: "Joey, if you make it this far in the thread, congratulations on choosing the Bucks and we all can't wait to see you in Scarlet and Gray! I, like you, feel sorry for what the rest of the Big Ten will have to deal with in the future with facing the OSU D-Line. Absolutely sick levels of talent!"
Seriously, though, any team would be lucky to have a guy who is not only a competitor like this kid, but also a class act. There are always gonna be fans who are pissed they missed out on someone as good as Joey Bosa is and try to rationalize it. Happens with any fan base.
Can it be August already?!?

Suck on that, #haters
O -freakin- H!!
Yeah and if you did make it this far Joey go to this link if you have yet to see your commit story that was on the main page of 11W. Many comments on how excited we as fans are to have you in the Buckeye family!

We are blessed to have Bosa. He's a freak athlete and great kid. With him, spence, Washington, Pittman, Schutt, price, hank, Woodard, reeves, burrows, shazier and others we should have an sec style defense than will surely dominate the big ten. I assume the this is why um fans have been hating. When people are hating you know you've made it.

I-freakin-o! bring on all of this we'll still kill them. and the sec was built this way and the past few years the sec's way (d-line) beats TSUN's way (o-line).

Bosa is a boss! Can't wait to see him pound more people into the ground as a Buckeye!

Walmart Buckeye here. I went to the University of Findlay. My freshman year, The Oilers won the NAIA Div 2 National Champ. There were over 85 players on Findlay's roster, and I skipped a Saturday practice during a playoff bye week to go to the 1992 OSU/Michigan Game. That said as a freshman I never saw the field.... even in the waning moments of a 50+ blowout of Urbana. Love the Buckeyes.
Funny story from the Findlay team. The Findlay coaches got together with Hiedleberg (Tiffin, Ohio) coaches to have a Saturday scrimmage during the year. We (Findlay) sent freshman over to Tiffin to scrimmage Hiedleberg's JV. Both teams had road games that weekend, so Hiedleberg's non-travelers played against us Findlay freshman that would never see the field on a normal Saturday. We got dressed in our game pants and road a bus over to Tiffin (about 35 min trip), where we put shoulder pads and helmets on...due to Hiedleberg not having a nearby lockeroom. We scrimmaged a full 4 -15 min quarter game with rent a refs, took off our shoulder pads and helmets and road the bus back to Findlay. At Findlay, we went to our locker room got out of our game pants, put our stuff away and were preparing to go to our dorms. We had a Freshman DL who was getting out of his pants and.... well numerous smashed/flattened turds fell down with his pants. He had one turd flattened and stuck to one of the bands of his jock stap. Those of us around him were like "WTF?" He said he just shit his pants during the scrimmage, because he didn't want to use the restroom and miss the chance to play. Dude was so hard core he shat himself, played some ball and proceeded to ride a bus for 35 minutes for football.
@Hail @Rational thank you guys for your respectable comments on here, generally they provide some sort of insight without being incendiary, I'm sorry that on every single forum it must be pointed out that you guys are "just trolls" and blah blah blah. That being said you both are Satan Worshippers and I hope TSUN loses every game by 100, but I still don't like to see people calling you "Walmart Wolverines" especially as a rising senior in high school who's nervous about getting into the school I love. I don't mind the hate on your school I just hope people will stop making it personal.

and this is Bosa response tp the tsun fans
^^^^Love this above BTW!^^^^ And his Tweet when he went to visit TTUN.
In some ways I agree with Scott on page one but this thread is about how their Scout blogs on Bosa are some funny shit (and totally delusional). It's hard to defend some of the ignorant stuff on there (if you haven't looked you should). More upside to this and that recruit they're still after. While I think optimism is a good thing...comparisons and comments on more of an upside to Bosa (who IMO and many others across the country...HE IS AN ABSOLUTE BEAST of an athlete! How can there be more of an upside to another DL in the country besides the one who's commited to AL? Speaking of which...that should be a good match up in Sept TTUN vs AL hehe). I would have been very disappointed if Bosa's recruitment would have ended like Mike's. As I don't care really if TTUN fans come here...but they better be ready to catch hell (just as we would if we took the time to sign up for one of their websites and make comments there). IMO I've always said they should just stay on their sites and OSU fans on ours...but it's a free country so w/e. Some ppl like their great insight or different view points as some have said (which makes me want to throw up in my mouth).
Also to the guy above (JohnBlair) who went to Findlay...I played at Heidelberg. Thank god it was on Varsity and not JV lol. That's just gross to have played in his shit...crazy...not so sure that's hardcore. Sure would have made lineman stay away or not want to block him. Not to mention I bet he had a seat ALL to him self of the bus ride home;-)
