Crap. Strobel was one thing, but Pittman and Dodson were reportedly Buckeye leans the whole way. I'm sure we'll still be able to pull some studs in the class (and we already have some in the fold), but the Ohio class for the ages seems to be slipping through the OSU fingertips.
Yeah things like this will happen. I'm kind of surprised he didn't wait it out, especially being good friends and teammates with Steve Miller. This is what happens when stuff like what is going on happens and you lose "locks" like Pittman, Dodson, and Stroebel. There will be more to follow too.
The good thing is that Fickell, Urban, or whoever the next coach is should be able to salvage this class somewhat after they know what the NCAA sanctions are. It's still THE Ohio State University at the end of the day and a top 5 program. USC seemed to do OK in recruiting despite what happened there right?
USC's class was still pretty phenomenal, even with their looming sanctions.
