I'm okay with this and it's not entirely unexpected.  Our corners have been pretty good over the past 8-10 years, but at the next level, our corners have been moved to safety and our safeties, outside of Coleman, haven't been playing in the NFL.

Agreed.  He was one of those freak athletes at OSU.  He was good for OSU, but not spectactular, and jumped up to 8 or 9 in the draft.  Wasn't Chekwa being look at at FS for the Raiders?  I think DW was playing FS as well.

Why is that?  We had a real good run with corners (Winfield, Clements, Plummer) at the next level, but even Jenkins has been moved to safety. Speed, tackling ability or something else?

Who is Chuck Heater?

I always respected and liked Tom Bradley at Penn State. But he brings a lot of baggage from PEnn State.

Temple's D-Coordinator, who was the secondary coach at UF while Urban was there.  He coached with Earle Bruce back when Meyer was a grad assistant...............and he was a RB for the skunk bears.

Chuck Heater sounds good, but played for TTUN. I would question his anger and passion towards beating TTUN. I have heard that he is a great recruiter so that is a definite plus. If we got him, I would like for him to come out and say something along the lines of: I f....... hate TSUN, the only reason I went there is because Archie was at TOSU and I knew I could not beat them out. I know he would never say that, but I can dream.
