Haha, Clinton-Dix!

The good times are continuing to roll (Tide) in Tuscasloosa. When you combine this gem from 2013 NFL first-rounder DJ Fluker last April, the Yahoo! Sports investigation that confirmed Fluker's assertions and today's announcement that the Crimson Tide were suspending assistant strength and conditioning coach Corey Harris for providing impermissible benefits to suspended safety Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix, there's a pretty uncomfortable picture developing down south.

From TuscaloosaNews.com:

University of Alabama assistant strength and conditioning coach Corey Harris has been placed on administrative leave for providing impermissible benefits to suspended football safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, The Tuscaloosa News has learned.

UA head coach Nick Saban announced Wednesday that Clinton-Dix has been indefinitely suspended for violation of team rules but did not specify the nature of the violation.

Assistant strength and conditional coach Corey Harris has been placed on administrative leave. In looking into the matter, the UA compliance office also discovered that Harris had a connection to a representative of a sports agent. UA's internal investigation has found no indication that Clinton-Dix has had contact with any agent or agent representative. Efforts to reach Harris were unsuccessful.

Sooooo, Alabama had a runner on their staff. No big deal. Definitely not anything to see here, even though 'Bama, removed from NCAA probation in 2012, is still sitting within the "window" for being labeled a repeat offender by the governing body. As other allegations have fallen to the wayside, it appears unlikely the NCAA will act on this latest transgression as well.

This is nothing, nothing at all. Have you seen Alabama's shiny BCS trophies? They're right over this way...
