Ross Bjork said Thursday that conversations have begun about reinstating the Buckeyes’ 12 vacated victories from the 2010 season, including their Sugar Bowl win.

During an appearance on The Ryan Day Radio Show, co-hosts Paul Keels and Jim Lachey asked Bjork what it would take for Ohio State to have those wins restored.

Bjork acknowledged the process is still in its early stages but said the discussions are worth having.

"I had to testify in front of a legislative committee at the (Ohio) state capitol, and I hadn't heard about — there was actually a proposed state bill that would get those (wins) back. I heard about that," Bjork said. "It's something, look, I think, given the climate, I think you have to at least ask the question. We haven't really pursued a whole lot, but there are a few questions that we have asked. Who knows where it'll go?"

Whether or not the wins return on paper, Bjork said Buckeye fans should remember the season the same way.

"Those things are usually just a piece of paper," Bjork said. "We know what happened in those years. I mean, I was part of (an Ole Miss football) program that had to vacate some wins. We still won the Sugar Bowl here at Ole Miss because everyone was there. We held up the trophy. And so those are the things that you go through. But yeah, it's definitely a different climate. The conversations are a lot different than they were before."

Lachey joked that Ohio State's head coach during the 2010 season was Jim Tressel, whom Ohio Governor Mike DeWine appointed as the state's lieutenant governor in February 2025.

"I mean, come on," Lachey said. "It's getting 12 more victories."

"He's right there," Bjork continued, laughing along with Lachey. "We do have access to him."
