Finally. Football, actual factual football, is here.

If you've been waiting through the last painful month of the offseason to get here, you will be happy to know that in just a few short days a soothing balm of young adults smashing into each other at high speed will be applied to your frontal lobe, and all will be well.

But there is still some business to attend to, namely the past week in the Zach Smith/Urban Meyer story, which we do address in the first few minutes of this week's Dubcast with our guest, ESPN's Heather Dinich. The short version of my take is that no one has really begun to address the larger issues at play here, but if this conversation isn't your bag, don't worry, there's tons of football talk too.

Ryan Day's day at the podium! Who we're most excited to see on Saturday! Our Three Things for the game! Coaching fashion statements! Uh, Joe Burrow? Hell, throw that in there too! And of course, Ask Us Anything, which you can do via e-mail or Twitter.

If you enjoyed all of that, please don't forget to rate and subscribe on iTunes, and check us out on Google Podcasts if that's your jam.

0:00 Urban Meyer is suspended for three games. How we got from Big Ten Media Days to here is a long and convoluted story, but Heather Dinich helps us sort it out.

13:20 Football! Who's going to challenge for the playoffs, can smaller teams sneak in, and what are Ohio State's prospects in 2018?

23:13 Ryan Day was impressive at his turn at the podium, and we're pretty confident in his ability to step in for Urban Meyer. Plus, Joe Burrow is going to be a bayou darling.

35:32 Ask Us Anything and our Three Things for Saturday's game against Oregon State.

And that'll do it. Thanks to Travis for our cool logo, thanks to you for checking out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you guys next week!
