Welcome to the Skull Session.

Reminder: The Warden is the best in the business.

Have a good Tuesday.

SHERRONE SUSPENDED. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Dan Wetzel, Michigan plans to suspend football coach Sherrone Moore for two games in 2025 as part of self-imposed penalties related to the Connor Stalions advanced scouting scheme.

I have one reaction:

Suspended?!

Kick him off the tour!

JIM HARBAUGH’S LEGACY. Moore’s future suspension is the latest development in a list of crimes, dismissals, violations, show causes or suspensions for Michigan football staffers.

That list couldn’t fit on a CVS receipt.

Quite the legacy, Michigan Man!

HAPPY BELATED 5/5 TO ALL. In celebration of May 5 – or 5/5 on the calendar – Ohio State’s Big Ten Network social media account posted a video honoring Braxton Miller for his five-touchdown performance against Michigan in 2013.

The post garnered reactions from both Miller and Urban Meyer on X.

Ohio State went 4-1 against Michigan during Miller’s five-year career. The lone loss came when Miller was a freshman in 2011, but the five-star quarterback wasn’t the reason the Buckeyes suffered defeat. He completed 14 of 25 passes for 235 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while adding 100 yards and one score on the ground. Here’s a look at Miller’s performances in Ohio State’s wins:

  • 2012: 14-of-18 passing for 189 yards and one touchdown; 20 carries 57 rushing yards
  • 2013: 6-of-15 passing for two touchdowns and one interception; 16 carries for 153 rushing yards and three scores
  • 2014: Missed The Game due to injury
  • 2015: Two catches for 12 yards; two carries for 12 yards

Four pairs of Gold Pants?

Yeah, Braxton can talk that talk because he walked that walk.

What a legend!

THE MOST TOXIC FANBASE? OK, no more Michigan talk. How about we end the Skull Session with cold, hard facts? How cold and how hard the facts are will be in the eye of the beholder, however.

According to Elite College Football, one of the most verifiable, trusted sources in the media (to be clear, this is sarcasm), ranked the most toxic fan bases in college football on a scale of 1, the least toxic, to 10, the most toxic.

Want to guess where Ohio State ranked?

No. 1.

Here’s a look at the top 10:

  1. Ohio State: 10
  2. Florida: 8.9
  3. Georgia: 8.8
  4. Colorado: 8.5
  5. Miami (FL): 8.3
  6. Tennessee: 8.2
  7. Texas: 7.8
  8. Alabama: 7.6
  9. Florida State: 6.9
  10. Michigan: 6.8

Is it toxic to think Ohio State fans aren’t that toxic?

The “lunatic fringe”?

Sure, they are toxic.

But most Ohio State fans have reasonable expectations for the team year in and year out – and that’s reasonable relative to the Buckeyes’ standards. An 11-2 season with a Rose Bowl win is good for most programs, but that’s considered a failure for Ohio State, especially if the season doesn’t include a pair of Gold Pants and a Big Ten title to boot.

Alas, Elite College Football thinks Ohio State has the most toxic fan base in the sport.

Is he correct?

Or can I chalk this up to a classic case of They hate us ‘cause they ain’t us?
