Tired: Ohio State's starting receivers might be the three best receivers in the country.

Wired: Ohio State has a walk-on receiver that could start anywhere in the country.

Word of the Day: Troth.

OUR TRAITOR. With his lockdown defense, relentless effort and #grit, Jamari Wheeler is the type of player you absolutely love if he's on your team, but want to absolutely launch into the sun if you're playing against him.

For four years, Penn State got to love him. Last night... not so much.

This time, he was coming from the opposite corner of the arena. In his return to the arena he called home for four seasons, the Ohio State graduate transfer guard – and former Nittany Lion – led the Buckeyes onto the court to a cacophony of boos from the fans who once lauded him.

...

"Right when the Big Ten schedule dropped, I circled the date," a smiling Wheeler said. "It’s a big one to come in here and get this win."

...

Wheeler finished with 9 points, a career-high-tying nine assists and five rebounds with just one turnover. Kyle Young led the Buckeyes with 16 points on 4-for-4 shooting from 3-point range. Penn State's Jalen Pickett led all scorers with 23 points.

The nine assists are the most for any Ohio State player against Penn State, besting Evan Turner's mark of eight set Feb. 24, 2009.

He had a career night on the floor of his former team, fueled by boos and "traitor!" chants the whole way – and he loved every minute of it.

Based on how that one played out, we're gonna need to find a way to make sure we have some Penn State fans at every game from now on. Get them season tickets, fly them out to the NCAA Tournament – whatever you need to do.

TATE MARTELL, BUCKEYE FAN? The Tate Martell saga has had more twists than an Auntie Anne's pretzel, but I can't say I ever saw this one coming – Tate is apparently still an Ohio State fan. Enough so that he went to The Game in The Big House and was visibly upset when the Buckeyes were losing.

I am absolutely here for the new Tate Martell era – Buckeye superfan. Dude could give Buck-I-Guy and Big Nut some fresh competition for the first time in a long time!

Jokes aside, this is actually pretty damn cool to see, after everything that's happened and how the fanbase has treated him. If he ever chooses to come back for a home game, I certainly hope he doesn't have to pay for a ticket and watch from the stands.

And hey, Ohio State does need a fourth scholarship quarterback...

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST. It would seem that Ryan Day has absolutely lost control of his program – another Buckeye quarterback is in the NCAA Tranfer Portal.

In all seriousness, good for Jagger. I almost always root for players when they leave Ohio State for another opportunity elsewhere, but I especially root for walk-ons. You paid your way to help the Bucks with no chance of ever seeing the field, now it's time for you to go and get yours.

WINDMILL DUNKS > MULLETS. Turns out, Ohio State's newest quarterback commit (who basically functions as Quinn Ewers' replacement) has some serious bunnies.

At 6-foot-3 and pushing 200 pounds, he also ain't small. So those kind of ups are pretty damn impressive.
