We've still got over a month until kickoff but it looks like TBDBITL is already in midseason form.

I guess that's what happens when you're basically forced to take an involuntary year off.

Word of the Day: Beset.

BEST DAMN TIGHT END IN THE LAND. Tired: Will J.T. Tuimoloau play both football and basketball at Ohio State?

Wired: Will J.T. Tuimoloau play both defensive end and tight end at Ohio State?

Don't worry y'all, Kevin Wilson is on it.

Hey, I'm in. Let's get weird. It's not like Ohio State doesn't already have way too many eager potential ball-catchers for one football, right?

THE REAL PATIENT NO. 0. It would seem that Meechie Johnson saw D'Angelo Russell frolicking around the practice courts wearing his number and decided to put the NBA All-Star in his place.

I've been vocally skeptical about handing the keys to the offense over to Meechie so early in his career when he really didn't do much in his first action last year, but if he's out there getting buckets on NBA players then sign me the hell up.

Especially when he can do this:

But he wasn't the only young buck showing out at the Kingdom Summer League. Malaki Branham went ahead and just dropped a cool 40 points.

Folks, the future is bright.

SLOBS ON NOTICE. Thayer Munford and Nicholas Petit-Frere are heading into this season as the top pass protectors in the country, and that title's gonna be put to the test right off the bat with Kayvon Thibodeaux coming to town.

I think it says a lot about my spoiled Buckeye ass that my reaction to Ohio State facing the best pass rusher in the country in week two with a brand new quarterback is "oh cool, that'll be a fun challenge."

I mean, I guess there's a chance he goes full Khalil Mack and makes me regret typing these words, but with Munford and NPF on the line and Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson getting open downfield, I'm rather unconcerned.

I'll set the over/under on Thibodeaux sacks at 1.5 and gleefully take the under.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, JIM TRESSEL. If there ever comes a day when Jim Tressel is not treated like straight-up royalty in the Great State of Ohio, may God remove me from this Earth.

Thankfully, I don't think that's ever going to be a problem.

If Jim Tressel ran for Ohio Governor with Braxton Miller and Troy Smith running his campaign, I'm convinced he would win in the biggest landslide in state history.
