Laczynski along with linemates Freddy Gerard and Matt Weis were key figures in Ohio State’s sweep of Michigan. The trio bedeviled the Wolverines throughout the series. All together they racked up four goals and five assists.

Four of those points belonged to Laczynski. He assisted on Friday’s game tying goal. On Saturday he scored the game winner and set up two of the Bucks’ next three insurance tallies.

After a slow start to the season, Laczynski is swiftly accelerating up the scoring charts. He has points in nine of his last ten outings. The sophomore leads Ohio State with 17 total points on the season.

Laczynski and the Bucks are back in Columbus this week for a Big Ten battle with Penn State. Games are scheduled for 7pm ET on Friday and 4pm ET on Saturday. Friday’s game features another Hockey Hour from 6-7pm with drink specials and activities on the concourse.

Moving On Up

Ohio State (8-3-3 overall, 3-3-0-0 B1G) impressed pollsters as well as fans in its sweep at Michigan. The Buckeyes moved up this week to No. 11 in the USCHO poll and No. 13 in the USA Today/USA Hockey rankings. Other Big Ten teams in the national polls include No. 3/4 Notre Dame, No. 7 Minnesota, and No. 12/14 Wisconsin. Although unranked, Michigan, Michigan State, and Penn State are all receiving votes in the USCHO poll.
