Skaggs converted the Buckeyes’ second power play of the game with just seconds to go in the opening frame.

The Colonials got on the board in the middle period, but any hope they had of rallying was quickly quashed by Skaggs’ second tally of the game. She struck for a third time early in the third period, completing her first hat trick as a Buckeye. Charly Dahlquist capped the scoring with a late power play goal.

RMU edged Ohio State in shots on goal, 33-30. The Buckeyes were 4-for-10 on the power play. Robert Morris was 0-for-7.

The teams meet again Saturday afternoon at 2pm ET. Look for a recap of the women’s game along with the men’s late tomorrow night. It’s going to be kind of busy around here in the afternoon. Some football thing.
