Ohio State held its first intrasquad scrimmage of the 2016 season Saturday afternoon at the Coffey Road fields.

The athletic department closed the scrimmage to media, but walk-on freshman cornerback CJ Saunders provided one of the highlights.

Saunders, originally a three-sport star from Dublin Coffman, intercepted an errant pass from backup quarterback Joe Burrow that was intended for redshirt freshman wide receiver K.J. Hill. Saunders flashed some speed too, as he scampered all the way down the field for an apparent touchdown.

Afterwards, Urban Meyer rewarded the walk-on with an opportunity to break down the post-scrimmage huddle.

Ohio State's annual media is Sunday, while the team resumes two-a-day practices Monday.
