A reunion with Brian Hartline always made sense for Bryson Rodgers.
The former Ohio State wide receiver announced his commitment to South Florida out of the transfer portal on Friday.

South Florida is located in Tampa, Florida, Rodgers' hometown. He finished his Ohio State career with 11 receptions for 125 yards and one touchdown, which he recorded this past season against UCLA. He had six total receptions for 79 yards as the Buckeyes' No. 4 receiver in 2025.
Hartline, the former Ohio State assistant turned South Florida head coach, has also landed Buckeye defensive end C.J. Hicks to join him at his next stop. The Buckeyes, in turn, have added a receiver back from the portal in UTSA's Devin McCuin, helping replace Rodgers and fellow portal losses at wide receiver Mylan Graham, Quincy Porter and Damarion Witten.
Rodgers has two years of eligibility left to use with the Bulls. Ohio State is still evaluating and pursuing other options at receiver in the transfer portal, including former Texas pass catcher DeAndre Moore.
