Eric Mensah is leaving Ohio State after two years as a Buckeye.
The backup defensive tackle announced Friday on X that he is entering the transfer portal.
I want to thank Coach Day, especially Coach Johnson, the weight room staff, and the nutrition staff for the opportunity to wear the scarlet and gray but also helping me grow as a man and teaching me a lot. However, I will be taking my talents elsewhere. As always Go Bucks!!! pic.twitter.com/3JyTduZO78

A three-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, Mensah played only sparingly in two seasons as a Buckeye, making four game appearances for 19 total snaps. He will bring three years of collegiate eligibility to his next school.
Mensah is Ohio State’s 23rd scholarship player to enter the transfer portal in 2026. He’s the second defensive tackle to go portaling, joining Maxwell Roy.
