Ohio State expects to dominate again on Saturday night.

After earning a 70-0 win over Grambling State last week, Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate, running backs coach Carlos Locklyn and head coach Ryan Day made it clear at the team’s pregame Skull Session that the Buckeyes are holding themselves to the same standard against Ohio.

“We‘re going to dominate from the first play to the last play, and let’s light the Shoe up as we run their ass up out of here,” Tate said.

Locklyn, who described Day as “the best doggone head coach in the country,” vowed that the Buckeyes will play hard for their home crowd as they play under the lights for the first time this stadium.

“It’s Ohio vs. Everybody. It’s about us. That’s all that matters,” Locklyn said. “Coach Jim Tressel once said play with heart, play with passion, play within yourself, have fun and play like a champion. I promise you tonight, you’re gonna see a team with relentless effort, with physicality, but most of all, you’re gonna see a team that’s playing for all of you, Buckeye Nation.”

As dominant as Ohio State was last week, Day expects the Buckeyes to be even better this week.

“There’s something special about coming together for Saturdays in the Shoe, and there’s something even more special about Saturday nights in the Shoe,” Day said. “It’s always about us, but when it’s about us, we gotta bring it every week. And not only do we have to bring it every week, we gotta get better every week.

“This week, we gotta get better. We gotta get more intense. We gotta get more passionate. We gotta play more violent. And we gotta kick some ass.”
