It's been a busy Monday for the Buckeyes.

After the bombshell dropped early in the morning that Kyle McCord is entering the transfer portal, three more players followed, including center Jakob James, wide receiver Julian Fleming and linebacker Reid Carrico.

Carrico is transferring after spending three seasons with Ohio State but receiving limited playing time, as the Ironton native appeared in nine games for the Buckeyes in 2023 but only recorded one tackle this season. In his OSU career, he played in 19 games, recording five total tackles.

As a recruit, Carrico was considered a four-star player by 247Sports' composite rankings and was ranked the ninth-best linebacker in the 2021 recruiting class.

His departure now makes 12 total Buckeyes that have entered the portal, with others including running back Evan Pryor, center Victor Cutler Jr., defensive end Omari Abor, cornerbacks Jyaire Brown and Ryan Turner, safeties Cameron Martinez and Kye Stokes and kicker Parker Lewis.
