As if we didn't have enough storylines!

I've been exhaustively rehashing things in Threat Level: Michigan that people have been even more exhaustively reporting on for weeks now, and when you're so sucked into a singular story it's easy to forget that college football is an entire ecosystem of drama and nerves, just waiting to be unpacked on Saturday afternoons in the fall.

The Michigan game is always The Game, but in addition to coach suspensions and sign-stealing drama and undefeated seasons and worrying about the offense, it's starting to become obvious that there's a clear path for Route Man Marv to become Heisman Man Marv, if conditions are right and Bo Nix or Michael Penix, Jr. suddenly screw up or something.

Here's what I think: Harrison, Jr. needs to have another dominant (if not necessarily statistically insane) game against Minnesota. Something like 100+ yards of receiving and maybe a couple of touchdowns. And then, against Michigan, Ohio State has to both win and he's got to do something absolutely insane. 200 yards of offense, two or three touchdowns, maybe another crazy end-around for six, and damn, that dude might just pull it off.

That's a lot of "if, then"s, but if there's been one constant on this Ohio State team over the past few seasons, it's that this guy is pretty clearly the best college football player in the United States. Now he just has to convince Heisman voters.

THANKS, KEVIN!

THE REST

And that'll do it! Next week is Minnesota, a team that just got absolutely skunked by, uh, Purdue. See you then!
